I quickly tossed a blue-gelled SB-800 speedlight in the corner of the ambulance to get the blue effect that you see along the back right wall. I bounced another SB-800 off the ceiling to light the crew. This image was taken in available light with no flash. I would have usually used a flash to help pull out the colors from the florescent lightning which is terrible light to work with even with white balance adjustments, but due to the nature of to the call, I was afraid the flash would cause anxiety from the on looking co-workers. The fluorescent lighting causes what I refer to as muddy colors and tone so I decided to convert the image to black and white from the original color version.
